WorkShop n°15 : Perform a simple web site performance audit

There is something everyone should do when checking a web site developpement : looking at server pages response time. TcpCatcher displays server response time in Milliseconds in the sortable column named 'Duration (Ms)'.

Start TcpCatcher and make sure your browser is configured to use TcpCatcher as a web proxy

Perform a single click on the 'Duration' column in order to sort table according to server reponse times ascending and browse the web site you want to audit.

If you believe (like me) that a page that takes more than 500 ms to respond can be improved, you can right click on the duration column and apply a filter to pinpoint those poorly coded pages. You can click on the little cross in the bottom Information panel to remove the filter.
